While recovering from a back injury I had while working as a cordon bleu chef in London I took up silk painting. I loved it and never went back to cheffing. Instead I made my living selling my hand painted silk vests, scarves, ties, cushions and so on.

At a London trade show I ran into Jacquard Products, the company that makes the silk paints I use. They offered me a job. I took it and made the leap to California in the US. During the ten years or so that I worked at Jacquard I got married and had a daughter.

Wanting to spend more time at home with my daughter I quit Jacquard and returned to my art. My husband, daughter, and I have since moved to the far north of California and I've branched out into watercolor, banging up tin flowers, jewelry making and more.
